Trends in Pop Culture Today at

Today at, I want to talk about a few of the trends I’m seeing on social media (where else?). I don’t want to talk about negative stuff that’s going on. If you see the date of this post, you already know the horrors happening seemingly in every corner of the world right now. Let’s let the late night talk show hosts and politicians deal with that for now…

Ok, so a few things we’ve noticed is an uptick in what we can only call “politically incorrect” card games. Maybe you’ve heard of “Cards Against Humanity,” an adult party game that is nothing if not offensive. Billed as a “party game for horrible people,” what happens is that basically, a player asks a question from one of the black cards, and others answer from the white cards.

Doesn’t sound too difficult or bad, huh? Ok, here’s an example “round” – ready (see the video for this)?
Question from one of the black cards: “What’s the Next Happy Meal Toy?”
Sample Answers: “A lifetime of sadness.” “The Holy Bible” and I won’t mention other answers. They are WAY too bad…

Anyway, that’s just one example of such card games. They now have the“Freedom of Speech” card game, “Unstable Unicorn” game you can use to destroy your friendships (look ‘em up – seriously), and more.

Then, there’s the Instagram sensation, “#WeRateDogs” book. Why didn’t I think of that? Seriously, this guy posts pictures of dogs and captions – then he put it into a book and sells it. Yeah… exactly.

Anyway, that’s enough for today. I’m tired. Looking at dogs and captions is exhausting. So is Cards Against Humanity. We’ll be back with more posts soon! See ya!
